Day 1:     Pickup at Airport - Drive to Shillong.  (3 hour drive) In the Afternoon we will visit the Local Market and get acquainted with Shillong.

Evening:     Stay: Shillong Hotel.

Day 2:    Breakfast – Hotel.   Early Morning Departure to Mawplang (30 min. drive) - Site of Khasi Sacred Forest. Here we will have a Khasi person leading a walk into the Forest and explaining some of the Khasi Tradition and Folklore, as well as the significance of the Sacrificial sites and also the significance of the Sacred forest to Khasi society. 3-4 hour hike on David Scott Trail - we will be met at other end and go on to Cherapunjee.
Afternoon: Depart for Cherapunjee (1 hour 30 min drive) - brief sightseeing on arrival.
Evening:  (Evening Cultural Show - dance and/or music - depending on size of group.) Stay: Guest House\village or camping.

Day 3:  Early morning walk of area - plenty of trails etc.      Breakfast - at Hotel
Morning - Sightseeing further around Cherapunjee - Cave - waterfalls.   

Afternoon - departure for Smit. (1 hour 30 min drive) a Village that is head of the traditional Khasi Kingship of Khyriem. Here a brief talk and discussion about Khasi society and it past, present and future.
Evening: Drive to Shillong. (45 mins.)      Stay - Shillong

Day 4:    Breakfast - Hotel. Departure for Kaziranga (6 hour drive)

Afternoon jeep Safari into Kaziranga National Park.  Stay - Kaziranga. 

Day 5:  Early morning Elephant ride into park.  Breakfast. Duration of Morning - rest  and short trip into Tribal village in Karbi Hills.  

Afternoon departure for Guwahati.      Stay – Guwahati Hotel. 

Day 6:  Morning Boat ride on Bramaputra.  Breakfast – Restaurant.  Visit to Kamakhya temple and other sites in and around Guwahati.   Stay – Hotel.

Day 7:  Breakfast – Hotel.  Drop off for departure at Airport or Railway station.
