Pickup in Guwahati (Assam) – Drive to Siju in Garo Hills (6-7
hours) (Meghalaya). Overnight
in government tourist Lodge or Camping. Dinner and Stay in Siju.

2:
Breakfast. Morning boat
trip on Simsang River in local dug out canoe.
Picnic Lunch. Afternoon
cave exploration - or hike up to another village. Dinner
and Stay in Siju.
Day
4:
Breakfast.
Morning visit to Mawphlang – site of one of the few remaining
Khasi sacred forests. Picnic
Lunch. Four hour hike on
David Scott Trail – to be picked up at other end and on to Cherapunjee
by vehicle. Dinner and Stay
in Cherapunjee. Camping or
Guest House.
Day
5:
Breakfast. Morning
hike near camping area. Lunch
and afternoon around Cherapunjee. Stay
and Dinner at campsite or Guest House.
Day
6:
Breakfast. Morning
hike and activities. Lunch.
Afternoon – more activities on site.
Stay and Dinner at campsite or Guest House. Day 7: Breakfast. Early morning departure to Guwahati or Shillong. Stop at two areas of importance to the Khasi People. Laitlynkot (grouping of Monoliths) and Smit – (seat of the Khasi Kings). Picnic Lunch. Drop off for departure.
